Assigment-

to fix up our website and to link a picture on to our blog that makes are website conncet better to our blog.

Craft- I choose the same link for my website profile picture that I have for my blog picture just to give it a more uniformed look. So that the people who visit my site can make that connection

concept- for my actual website i really did not make major changes i thought it looked okay.

composition- i arranged my web site with the page about me in the front and then I had the lincoln project for the second page. Our second mashup for the third page the comic strip we did for the 4th page. Then the final page was of my slide show.

concept- my i web is about me and the art pieces we have done through out the semester in art 100.

Assignment- to fix our final story boards for Monday

Craft- to show my dad Uncle Larry and cousin Chris at a black hawks 

Concept - my concept was to show that my cousin Chris wanted to do something special for my Uncle Larry so he bought him a hawks T-shirt.

composition- to Show my dad Uncle larry and cousin chris at a blackhawks game 

week 11

Assignment- To take the pictures that we are using for our story boards and put them into the comic book program called comic life.

Craft- on the critique on monday no one really understood my story or how the package was relevant. So I am going to go back and change things to make the story and package make more sense.

concept- my original concept for the photos was to show my family having a great time going to a hockey game. Have my cousin chris buy my uncle Larry a Patrick Kane T-shirt.

Composition - I am going to make my story more clear to the audience and give the package more significance so my comic flows better.

week 10

Assignment - to get into groups and have our group members look at our storyboard of pictures and give their opinions on them. 

craft- what my group members told me about the color of my photos which I completely agree with them is the background color on my photos is too dark. Also I should change the color of the package so that their is a clear distinction to what the package is in my photos. 

concept- my group members seemed to understand my concept pretty clearly, and tell fairly easily what was going on in the story

Composition- to make my story board better I am going to take into consideration all of my group members great comments and change the background color and the color of the package in the story. 

week 9

Assignment- To print out our 9 pictures of our storyboard and get into groups and have them write what they feel is going on in our pictures.

craft- print out the pictures and write on the back of them. to depict how well our pictures tell the story. 

concept- to depict my family at a black hawks hockey game. To make sure my story is easy to follow and makes sense to other people.

composition- from what my group members told me the pictures that I put together for my story board make sense and are easily understood. 

week 8

Assignment To take picture for the new story board that we had to create

craft- I took nine pictures of my cousin chris my uncle Larry and my dad at a Black hawks hockey game. 

concept - what i am trying to accomplish is just to tell a great story about going to s hockey game using the three required elements for the story

composition- in my pictures you see my dad and my uncle and cousin interacting with each other which helps a great deal in telling the story

week 7

Assignment - To create a story that involves one person waiting one person traveling and one person has a package for the other person. 

Composition- One person waiting my dad 

person traveling my sister Angie 

Person who has a package for the other My dad has a picture and tickets for my sister Angie.

In my family we are big sports fans we go to many sporting events in Chicago. My dad is waiting for my sister Angie because they are going to a sox game together tonight.He has to give her the package with her ticket in it.  The game starts at 7pm. It is already 5;30p.m. my dad is getting vary anxious because he like to get to the park early. My dad is pacing back and fourth and he keeps calling Angie on her cell phone. Angie is a teacher and she is coming from work. While on her way to our house she got stuck by two trains, So she is not in the best mood. She finally arrives at our house at 6:o p.m. she is not in a good mood she is annoyed she is late. My dad opens the door for her and hands her the package, which not only contains her ticket but also an autographed picture of Angie's favorite player A.J. Pierzynski . Angie was so overjoyed her bad mood quickly went away and she thanked my dad for her gift. My dad and Angie were all set and were off to sox park for the game. 

week 6

assignment- the  first draft of mash up 2 is due

Craft -to mash up a pick of my parents and a picture of a polar bear to show my parents rafting by a polar bear 

concept- I intend to say my parents are fun adventurous people who love the outdoors 

Composition - I need to re work this a bit because when we met with professor Peck for our critique I need to have the raft more on the water and position the polar bear either further up or back in the picture. 

week 5

assignment- To take 25 pictures of people, places and things for our second mash up 

Craft- My approach for this project is going to be to include things that I really love. My goal is to include three pictures of my house my parents and just for fun a polar bear. I love where i live and I love my parents and I think polar bears are really cool.

concept- My goal for this piece is to do  more good work through the piece show things that i love and what I think are really fun and interesting.

Composition- I am really undecided on how I will bring all of these elements together my house in the background and my parents standing next to the polar bear. I have not figured that part out yet. 

week 4

Assignment- to fix up final draft of mash up 

Craft- I took a picture of my dad and brother in law at a cubs game and put Abe Lincoln's face over my brother in laws and put a cub hat on him. I need to fix the cub had and fix the eraser marks around his head.

Concept - the concept I was trying to go for was if Abe were alive today i think he would enjoy going to a cub game to relax with his buddies.

week 3

assignment Mash up 1 rough draft 

craft- working in photo shop to create one picture that mixes new and old one of Lincoln and on of my two best friends. 

concept - to make Lincoln look like he is having a party and taking pictures with his guests. I am going to put more Lincoln era objects in the photo to make sure it looks more like his party. The comments were the pictured looked at bit awkward which i am able to see and agree with them it is awkward. I think i am going to merge to new images entirely on Lincoln and my dad and brother in law at a cubs game. I think merging those images will work better.

Composition - I really couldn't fix my ols image enough to make it look less awkward so i hope the new image I am making works much better, which i think it does.

week 2

Assignment- to find 25 Lincoln era photos and take 25 contemporary photos of our friends and family, that were taken by us.

Craft - The assignment was to find 25 Lincoln era photos, and 25 photos that we have taken ourselves of our family and friends. 10 of those photos could have been older but they all had to be taken by us. I found 10 photos I really liked of my family and friends and also of Lincoln. The new photos I shot were mainly inside my house when my family came over for a party last Sunday. I printed them by putting them all on  CD which made them easier to load on my flash drive.

Composition- my two favorite photos are My parents with the wax statues of the Lincoln family. I thought I did a nice job taking that picture. I love Lincoln's crazy hair pictures I think they look cool. Over all I chose these 25 photos because they really captured by family well, we enjoy spending time together. Whether it be at a football game, a wedding or just have them come over to watch the football championship games. 

Concept- I chose to mix together Photos of my sister Angie and my brother in law Graham with Lincoln because it is a really candid and relaxed picture of the two of them. I thin it will mix really well with how Lincoln looks while he is sitting smiling in the chair.

week 1

Assignment- To set up blog 

Craft- I went into blogger.com and I typed in my gmail account. At first I could not remember my password so I had to wait until I came home to create my blog. I choose a picture of myself and chose a layout as well.

Composition - The reason I chose this picture is because I am a huge sports fan and I really enjoy going to sporting events. eventually in my career I would love to do public relations for a sports team. I am a huge fan of the New York Yankees as well.

Concept- If  I say anything I would say that the Yankees are a great team and not overrated.
